1. How do I join? 

You need to fill out our online form (below) and pay annual dues via Venmo. Once we have dues and membership forms filled out, we'll approve your request to join our meetup group - find us at meetup.com/cranford-newcomers

2. How much are dues?

$65 for the year if you join September to Februrary
$45 for the remainder of the year, March-June

note: we run on a September - June calendar, with a few events like our monthly book club continuing over the summer months in July and August

3. What do the dues pay for?

The dues are used to pay for the holiday dinner party and the June dinner meeting, as well as refreshments for the general meetings. They also subsidize the cost associated with a lot of our activities like park permits, snacks and beverages, and more!

4. What kind of activities and events do you run? 

We have a monthly book club and an active adult activities committee so there will be plenty of opportunities to meet and socialize with large groups and small. The focus of the club is connecting members with one another. We also run activities that include children and spouses, but the majority of our events are members only. 

5. I’ve lived here for a while now, and I'm not technically a “newcomer” - can I still join?

Absolutely yes! We have many members who have lived in town for many years before they become a member. Most of the time, women join when they’ve recently had a baby and are looking for new friends in the same situation.

6. When can I join? Is there a cut-off date to register?

As mentioned, we go on hiatus in July and August (with the exception of book club), so we hold registration for new members during the months of June and July, we will welcome anyone who wants to join in August for the upcoming year!
